At The Matthews House, we know that stability, support, and connection give families and youth the roots they need to grow. With a safe place to turn, caring guidance, and the tools to thrive, their possibilities are endless.
This holiday season, you can help us deepen our roots and stretch our branches — reaching more families and youth across Northern Colorado with life-changing support. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community where every family and every young person has the chance to flourish.
In early 2025, we opened The Landing — The only youth shelter located north of Denver, extending to the Wyoming border. The Landing provides housing, case management, and wrap-around services for young people aged 15–20 experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
But The Landing is just one branch of our work. From family support programs that break cycles of poverty to educational resources that keep youth on track, every gift you make helps strengthen the whole tree families, youth, and our community as a whole.
Supporting The Landing strengthens the roots of our community by providing stability today and opportunity for tomorrow. Together, we can ensure that families and youth across Northern Colorado have the support they need to grow and thrive.
How Your Gift Grows Hope
$50
Plant the Seed
Your gift could provide 10 meals at The Landing, two music lessons, five climbing passes for our weekly rock-climbing group, or even cover the cost of a housing application fee.
$150
Nourish the Roots
Your donation could make it possible for 15 caregivers to take part in a Parent Café session—offering support, connection, and tools to navigate the challenges of parenting.
$250
A Stable Core
Your donation helps a young adult stepping into their very first home by providing a move-in basket filled with essentials to start this new chapter.
Gifts at this level also qualify for the 25% Colorado Homeless Contribution Tax Credit.
$500+
Grow the Canopy
Your gift makes a direct impact—providing back-to-school supplies for families in need, a week-long backpacking trip for youth experiencing the outdoors for the first time, and holiday meals for 120 families at both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
If you donate $250 or more directly to The Matthews House, you may qualify for Colorado’s Child Care Contribution Credit — a 50% state income tax credit.
That means a $1,000 gift could reduce your Colorado state taxes by $500. We’ll guide you through the process — all you need to do is:
Make your gift directly to TMH.
We’ll then send you the tax credit certificate that you submit to your tax accountant/advisor.
