Celebrating 20 Years of Connection, Growth, and Resilience
In 2005, The Matthews House was born from a simple idea: young people aging out of foster care deserved better — real relationships, real skills, and real hope.
Since then, we’ve walked alongside thousands of youth and families — buying a house in Old Town, building two Community Life Centers, launching site-based programs in housing communities and schools, and now opening The Landing, Northern Colorado’s first youth shelter.
Every step of the way, our community — participants, volunteers, partners, donors, and staff — has shown up like family. Together, we’ve filled the gaps, built bridges, and created a network of support where every child, youth, and family can find a path forward.
We are humbled, we are grateful, and we are just getting started. Here’s to 20 years of believing in people — and to the next 20.
