Parent Café sessions are a welcoming, judgment-free space for parents and caregivers to connect, learn, and grow. Sessions focus on:

  • Parenting Tools: Practical strategies to strengthen family dynamics
  • Resource Sharing: Access to local programs and services
  • Community Connections: Building supportive relationships

SafeCare Colorado

SafeCare Colorado

SafeCare® Colorado at The Matthews House
SafeCare® Colorado is a free, in-home parenting program designed to support families with children ages five and under. A trained provider visits once a week to work alongside caregivers, offering guidance and encouragement around parent-child interaction, child health, and home safety.

The goal is simple but powerful — to help parents feel more confident and supported while building safe, stable, and nurturing home environments where children can thrive.

Services are available in both English and Spanish to better serve our diverse community. As an accredited SafeCare site, The Matthews House is proud to offer this high-quality, personalized support to families across Northern Colorado.

Family Services & Resource Navigation

Our Family to Family (F2F) and Family Resource Navigation (FRN) teams support parents and caregivers of children ages 0–18 by:

  • Setting and achieving family-centered goals
  • Navigating housing, healthcare, education, child care, and employment resources
  • Providing guidance and encouragement throughout their journey

Early Childhood Navigator (ECN)

The Early Childhood Navigator program supports families with young children by focusing on:

  • Safety: Ensuring a safe environment for children.
  • Language & Learning: Promoting early language development and learning opportunities.
  • Health & Activity: Encouraging healthy lifestyles and physical activity.
  • School Readiness: Preparing children for a successful transition to school.
  • Parenting & Family Engagement: Enhancing parenting skills and family involvement in early childhood development.
Justice-to-Community-and-Family

Justice to Community and Family

We provide dedicated case management for justice-involved caregivers in Larimer County. Our team helps participants:

  • Set achievable goals
  • Access essential resources (housing, employment, parenting support, reentry services)
  • Build family stability and accountability

Caring and Sharing (For Professionals)

Caring and Sharing is a monthly networking and resource-sharing meeting for professionals.

  • When: 4th Monday of each month, 9–10:30 a.m.

  • What to Expect: Presenters sharing community resources, plus opportunities for networking and collaboratio
