Matthews House Run for Hope: Wild West Relay
An adventure to help at-risk youth
August 6-7, 2010

2010 Team Sponsors

Over the past three years, the reactions of our Wild West Relay runners have been the overwhelmingly and enthusiastically positive. In 2010, we have 12 repeat runners and 12 first-timers signed up, allowing us to field two complete teams. In addition to training to run between 11 and 19 miles over the course of about 30 hours, each runner is taking on the additional responsibility of raising $600 for the Matthews House. That fundraising takes many forms from community yard sales to an evening of wine, music and massage at Genoa Coffee in addition to many letters to friends, family and coworkers.

This year we have 24 runners hard at work training to run some big hills and raising funds to change lives! We have a fundraising goal of $12,000 and are well on our way. Please join us by donating to your favorite runner - or just to the team.

Here are some

who like to run.

They run for fun

in the hot, hot sun.

“The Wild West Relay was an experience of a lifetime. Sharing the love of running with a group of mostly strangers was a great way to interact with new people, and to do it for a good cause of the Matthew's House put the icing on the cake.  An unforgettable experience that I will partake in next year. Loads of fun with loads of running. Loved it!!!” Katie

“My favorite part of the relay is not the race itself, but the community built over a span of a day as we run this crazy event together. In the end, it’s a great feeling of accomplishment, and being part of a team makes it that much better.”   Seth
